Thus, when creating an application or website, I made sure to interview actual participants to get a better idea about how the design will look like and what could be done better and easier with the flow. So, I built prototypes based on stakeholders requirements to help them visualize the experience. Got requirements from product managements to help better visualize the experience and demoing it to stakeholders.
My role as a UX Designer was to take a persona's story and the problem statement and work on the needs that want to achieve using the app/website. The user persona plays a big role during my research were I can get to know more about the goals and frustrations that they have; which gives me a bigger image to know what to focus on in terms of design, colors, typography, iconography, etc...Â
After doing the whole research part (qualitative and quantitative), I start with my user story board (big picture and close-up) and will start building my paper wireframes; working on the layout of the screens. Adding on, I do my site map and I choose my color palette that would suit the user that I am building my study with. After building my mockups, I will start sharing them with different participants with whom I will follow my research study with using different prompts and questions that will be asked to everyone of them, so that I can build my prioritized insights. The prioritized insights will help me with a better understanding on the user's needs and goals using this app/website and will help me edit my mockups accordingly.
